Ours leans about an inch out of level (according to the levels we have mounted on the side of the trailer) if the slides (both on the driver's side) are extended before the stabilizers are extended. You can counteract this with one of several options. First, like you have already mentioned, you can run the driver's side wheels up onto leveling blocks so that the trailer leans about an inch toward the passenger side before deploying the slides, or, what we usually do if on a nice level surface, is to firmly extend the stabilizing jacks on the driver's side before putting the slides out. This works fine for us.
I like to pull the stabilizers up before bringing the slides back in to avoid any chance of "torqueing" the slides when retracting.
