- westendExplorerI fabricated a new cover using coated aluminum. I formed the attachment to hinge using a piece of steel rod. It works like a dream.
- wrenchbenderExplorerI fabricated one out of a drier vent
- path1ExplorerYes, not common or a big choice of where to buy them and they are pretty proud of their price IMO. I was going to put on of theses on. Not sure if any differences in most common types and airstreams. But after finding them and seeing the price I just replaced my plastic one.

I have seen SS but can't find one. It is the vent and flap. May go with plastic. They ahave a specialty co that makes Copper ones but Copper turns black unless you keep it polished or painted. - Passin_ThruExplorerI have seen SS but can't find one. It is the vent and flap. - tvman44ExplorerIf you are talking about the vent & flap on the wall outside. I believe the only choice is a custom made unit is your only option, as I have never seen anything but plastic. :)
- westendExplorerWhat part of the "vent" are you replacing?
- coolbreeze01ExplorerA metal fab shop could make one.
