TT with driver side door?

Can't seem to find anything online in my short search. Looked like Heartland Oakmont had one but can't find any available.

Anyone know of manufacturers or models available with a driver side door? There's got to be some available. Thanks.
  • In my case: I need a trailer I can back into a spot in Baja. I can't ''pull'' a trailer into the spot as I can't exit the truck forward. A door with access on the passenger side would be blocked by trees. Just can't have the door on the passenger side. Rear door could work -- driver side door, mid-trailer, would be ideal. Think Im striking out.
  • OK I'll bite. Why would you want a trailer with a back door?:h If you are looking for an escape route, use the fire escape window. Cruiser was building Viewfinders for Export to Australia which were a mirror image of the ones built for US use. I don't know if you could buy one for domestic use or not. Since the trailer is mirror imaged, I would have to assume that your utility connections would not work in campgrounds in the USA as they would also be on the wrong side.

No doors allowed on the drivers side, only curb side.

This is for the purpose of entering and exiting in safety without being hit by a passing vehicle.

Where in the world do you camp, that you would have to worry about stepping out of your camper into the path of a car???? Who sets up that close to a road?

Also, That's not true. I have seen doors on the driver's side

  • Over the last few years there have only been a few models with a door in the back. Probably not much demand for it.
  • I have a door on each side of my trailer. The main door is on the curb side and the 1/2 bath door is on the traffic side.

Safety wise I can understand why most have the main door on the passenger side and campgrounds are also set up for the door to be there.
