Tulsa to Colorada Springs disaster in the panhandle

Some times I just need to post what can go wrong will... Tulsa to Colorado Springs 12 hours of driving. every fuel stop plotted and tires aired to max 80 psi in the truck and trailer Goodyears aire...

I'll remeber not to go to that tire shop if I'm in the area.

The thing that creates excess heat in tires is under inflation, not inflating to the max. Lowering the pressure means you are also lowering the maximum weight the tire can carry.

I think I would trust the tire engineers over some guy in a tire shop in the middle of nowwhere.
