This is why your argument continues to be bunk. NOBODY on this thread tows with the BEST POSSIBLE TRUCK. That means that there is ALWAYS a BETTER truck out there.

One train of thought is that you should buy the BETTER truck. That's about a $250K Class 8 Volvo or something like that. Hard to get BETTER than that, right?



Another train of through is that you should buy the truck that meets your needs. If I have 1400 lbs of combined tongue weight, WDH, passengers and gear in my truck and an overall weight that is light enough for the Tundra, then why isn't it a satisfactory tow vehicle?

:h I have no clue how you read my ONLY post on this question and stated it was "bunk" in a "CONTINUED" arguement:h,,,Funny thing is, I stated IN MY POST, basically the same thing you did in your next to last paragraph.

I MERELY asked WHICH truck would do the BETTER job, (NOT THE BEST TRUCK:R). AND it was only in COMPARISON of a 1/2 ton truck versus a 1 ton SRW truck towing a 30' TT through the mountains( the EXAMPLE given by OP HIMSELF in comparing a 1/2 ton versus a 3500 SRW truck)....(can't get much more specific than that)...I didn't say anything about dually's, medium duty trucks, semi's and on...a bit ridiculous to say the least when we were talking about towing a 32' TT).

I ALSO stated get the right truck for the job...1/2 ton 3/4 ton 1 ton SRW...I even stated a 2500 would be enough,( something NO ONE ELSE had stated).. unless OP is going to possibly buy a heavier TT or move up to a 5er later on, they may want to get the 3500 SRW that the OP BROUGHT UP...not me...OP was comparing a 1/2 ton to a 1 ton SRW...I stated maybe a 2500 would fit the needs, but that only the OP would know that, ie based on TT's GVW.

Again, you may want to re-read my post, and no reason for you to apologize, I don't expect that in here when some are wrong about the way they read or took a post...

This is only my "second" post on this thread, so have NO CLUE where you came up with "my CONTINUED argument is bunk"...thank you for your compliment about the bunk.:R
