I don't think anyone mentioned that the OTA TV siganls from local town are in digital format which requires a digital TV to view them. If your TV SET is the older analog type it will not work with the new NATIONAL BROADCAST TV signals.
We use the 22-inch VIZIO Digital HDTV (alot less than $200 WALMART) and get excellent quality digital TV signals after we have scanned them into the HDTV scan search for TV signals.
We watch 6-36 full blown high definition wide screen digital TV just about everywhere we go here on the East side of the US...
The picture quality is much better than the normal camp ground CABLE HOOKUP.
The one thing is that you have to be pointing right at the NATIONAL BROADCAST transmitter stations or they will not log into your memory scan. Sometimes you have move the BATWING antenna one direction or the other a small amount and scan again. You will see the SCAN counting the number of DIGITAL TV signals it picks up when scanning...
