If you don't have a TPS to deal with think about taking the rears down to 50 to 45 psi empty. Still enough to carry the empty rear axle, but softer, and better traction.

I run a 2012 F 250. The place where I bought it adjusted the TMPS alarm pressure so i could let some air out of the rears.

Now it rides not quite so much like a log wagon.

I replaced my OE BFG's on my 05 Ram with Mastercraft CT's and I hate the ride and noise. I just play in this truck on the weekends so I put up with them but they do ride bad compared to my BFG's.

But to your point, yes air down your tires to what you need for the weight.
On a separate note, to my knowledge, the ability to adjust the thresholds or limits on the tire nannies on newer trucks is no longer an option with dealer software. Was told this from a dealer that adjusted my '13 F250 when I tried getting the '15 done last year.
Ram also locked it out of their software recently. There are some aftermarket applications coming out to do this but spendy to get a light off the dash.
It sucks and one of the dumber mandates recently for "vehicle safety". Limiting ones ability to adjust to proper tire pressure in HD pickups (without a idiot light popping up) is also unsafe.

Another reason to buy a 350/3500 non nanny regulated truck. Chris

I run the tires at 75 psi (front and rear) as the label on the door post says.. I tow a 26ft tt about once a month.. should I lower pressure while not towing or??? truck is not lifted or height altered.. factory stock

I always run mine at 42 PSI front and rear not towing.

The current Michelins have 72000 miles on them and are wearing evenly, granted getting close to worn out and are 7 years old so I will be replacing them in January. The truck really rides much better at this pressure than higher.

I do air up when towing, even my boat if any further than the ramp next door.

The F350 still come with the tyre sensors and dash warnings.

My RAM 3500 has a screen that you can scroll to in the EVIC and should tire pressures. No alarms and warning lights. Chris

Some of you guys are running a little lower pressure than me. This time of year I generally air them all to around 60 cold, which is the recommended PSI for the fronts. If I'm towing I'll bump the rear up to 80.
