tv wall mount installation

2007 lance 815 tc........I am wanting to attach a wall mount bracket for a 19'' tv. I would like to place it on the side cabinet facing the bed, but so that it also swings out to be viewed from the dining table. The tools and screws/lags that came with it require securing it to a stud in the wall. Are there studs or is there an alternative for fastening that will be just as safe?

    I mounted a metal plate on the opposite side of my closet as a load spreader. It has worked great for 2 years now. I have a 22" Vizio on a Swing out mount. Good luck.

    how was the metal plate attached?

    it would be on the back side of the cabnet. bolts going through the tv bracket cabnet and then the plate/

    Lance uses particle board with t-nuts for TV mounting. Easy enough to pre-drill and glue to the cabinet framing.

    My Arctic Fox had a cabinet wall specifically built up for a TV mount. I just had to buy the mount and TV I wanted. It is mounted close to where you described and can be watched in bed or from the dinette. We have 22" LCD with DVD player built in to reduce wire and device clutter. The TV patches to the radio's aux jack to give us better movie sound than the TV speaker.

    I did it just like starcraft69 said, but I put Glue on the plate also. It is very firm with the TV mounted, no flexing at all.

    The side wall that you are mentioning is 2 layers of hollow luan on my camper. I made a sandwich out of 1/2" oak plywood on both the front and backside of the cabinet wall.
