If they make you feel safer, the opinions of others does not matter.
There are several run flat devices but I am not sure how they perform as part of a dual or triple axel set up.
I would think that if the tire goes down it is still going to shred and come apart. The hope is the various run flat devices will give you time for a more controlled stop.
There are approximately 1 million TT tires but on the road every year, the only important ones are the ones on your TT. Only you can judge the wisdom of your decision over the long haul.
