under bed auxiliary fuel tank

I have a 2014 Ram 3500 CC 2x4, Aisen w/4:10's and I would like to add an auxiliary fuel tank but want an under bed mount unit. I also was wondering if there would need to be any changes to the def system ya know adding another tank or just tying into the existing tank....so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  • Titan has a Spare Tire Auxiliary Fuel System.
    Titan Link

Maybe that is what you remember.

    It is $1798 for 30 gallons. :E

No changes to the DEF system.

Do you have a 6.5' bed or a 8' bed?

I like the idea of carrying more diesel. I am getting a Transfer Flow In Bed Aux Tank in my Ram 3500 long bed being built tomorrow.
  • Just did a 61 gallon transfer flow tank and it is the bomb! Never again will I settle for a small tank.
If you can't do an under bed tank get an in-bed tank. With an in bed tank you can get an even bigger one!
  • Titan has a 55 gal. underbed tank for newer diesel Rams, but for 8 ft bed only. So, if you have the 6.5 ft bed, then that is not an option. It is a replacement tank, not an extra tank, there are very few add on tanks that fit under the truck.
  • I have a Titan tank that replaced my OEM tank and doubled my fuel capacity. Fortunately I don't need DEF. I would check the web sites for the two companies mentioned so far.
  • Just checked out transfer flow their site says they don't even have a replacement tank for my TV. All they have are in bed tanks for my TV.

    The search continues
  • You might want to look at TransferFlow tanks. They sell a replacement tank that works well with diesel trucks. It extends further under the cab than the factory tank, and I think it is in the 55 - 65 gallon area.

    Good luck,

    Fred.
  • I think I had seen a website that had them but cannot remember or find it now if I Remer right they had one smaller one and a larger one that had to have the spare removed to fit just can't find it again I guess I have a Google defiencency can't seem to find anything I look for lately....lol
  • Is there room for another large tank under the bed? I have a Ford but I doubt that Rams have any more room.

DEF has nothing to do with fuel tanks, it's injected into the exhaust stream of the truck.
