JMO but under the bed is the last place we'd use for storage as it's just so inconvenient to get to, especially if you have to lift the bed platform to access it. I've solved that in several trailers we've owned including our current Coachmen by installing cabinet doors on the end of the bed platform, eliminating the need to lift the platform itself.
We do find this area convenient for storing a couple of empty 7 gal grey water Aquatainers, spare tent and bedding for one of our sons who occasionally joins us, and a laundry basket for dirty laundry. For bulky items we find this ottoman quite handy as it also serves nicely as a foot rest when sitting on the sofa.
