under cabinet mount coffee maker

I have seen some used units where the heat/steam/humidity from these under the cabinet coffee makers caused some damage to the wood/vinyl/trim. directly above them.

Metal stove top percolator for me too.

Nothing to break, no 120v needed.

We use a small stove-top perculator from Cabellas. We tried one from wallyworld but the metal was thin and had sharp edges around the rim. So much for cheap.

Just today Jeanie ordered a Farberware Yosemite 8 cup, stainless steel coffee maker in the classic mold. It's a percolator type that goes on the propane burner. We've gone thru a couple French Presses (good, but didn't make enough coffee to get me thru the day and one was glass that broke, of course) Then the last few years we switched to the Melita style with a cone shaped funnel, a filter and the need to boil water on the burner. It made 8 cups but was awfully labor intensive. After a couple cups, I pour the coffee that's left into a Nissan s.s. thermos that spans the daylight hours. Since we boondock a lot, a 110 volt AC plug-in is not possible (unless I crank up the Honda eu2Ki, but that would be a one use item) I hope this percolator will do the trick. I've cut way back from my 16 cups a day, days. Eight is enough. At least three before I go down the steps to terra firma.

ONE thing I remember when I used the B&d under the cabinet one. had to put a washcloth under the carafe to keep it from rattling.

We have a plastic coffeemaker with glass carafe (10 or 12 cup Mr. Coffee from Target for $17—makes good coffee) that stays in place on the countertop attached with Velcro. I wrap a shoestring around the coffeemaker and through the carafe handle to keep it secure, but have forgotten to tie the carafe down a few times and it has not come out while travelling over some fairly rough roads.

We switched to a single cup Kuerig that has no glass to break, and fits/rides in the sink.

We use a counter top maker with a metal carafe. I have it Velcro-ed to the counter top, it works great just wish it was a 20 cup capacity as I use a 32oz coffee cup.

We went through a couple we alway put the coffee maker in the sink with a hand towel around it now.
