If repair cost should amount to $10,000.00 to repair your truck:

$10,000.00 spread over 24 months is $416.66 per month. At the end of 24 months you sill still own a truck in good condition.

The lease on a new 3500 will be much more than that. With the lease you will own nothing at the end of 24 months.
