I would add the Santa Fe V6 into the mix. It is rated for 5000#, I am pulling 3400# dry (4200# loaded) with WD/Sway/tranny cooler and it is a fairly flat nosed Hybrid and drove thru the mountains between Lake Placid and Bar Harbor last summer like there was nothing behind me. Even going up some of the steep/long grades had lots of gas pedal left before I reached the peaks. Stopping distance appeared barely changed vs without the trailer, and handling/control was quite nice.
