My brother has a 2014 Highlander hybrid. We do not plan on towing with it upon advice from the dealer. In fact, the dealer would not install the trailer wiring harness (I guess its a dealer installed item) even though it was ordered with the tow package and came with a receiver. Towing lightweight trailers, if they are full profile, causes the motor controller to overheat and shut-down.
