wcjeep: you said "the new Pilot ... has an optional 9 Speed transmission. Unknown what configurations arrive with it. If it's the same as the Jeep and Acura 9speed transmission, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DO NOT want this transmission." I believe it will be the same as the Acura 9-speed, a ZF unit I believe. What's wrong with it? Seems like it would help fuel mileage a little bit, although 9 speeds seems like overkill to me. What's the problem with it?

and now I agree with wcjeep, I definitely don't want this trans -- sounds like downshifts will be too slow and jerky at highway speeds, a bad thing for towing. Hopefully the 6-speed will be offered in the trim level I want on the Pilot.
