mgvrmark - From you're posts....you know what's going on, and you know your trailer weights. Don't be fooled by the foolish on here, who don't even google current towing specs of current model vehicals. Same goes for those nay-saying new transmissions with no possible experience beside one or two bad posts out there on the internet.
Look, all the SUV's you are looking at will do the job. I guaranty it. I towed at max with a 2012 Pilot for 2 years, and in state it did really well. But I did chicken out, and bought a larger SUV for national travel which include mountains.
We do regret selling our Pilot...and I think we could have suffered slower speeds and a little less performance while towing in the mountains once a year for the great trade offs all other days of the year. If we towed more often out of State, then our bigger SUV is easier to justify.
It is worth noting that towing MPG's with the same 23' aero shaped TT, results in the very same numbers the Pilot provided. But not towing, well that's obviously where you see the big differences.
