Upcoming mid-size SUV's for towing

Bumpy -- the Ford web site doesn't specify fuel type required, but the EPA web site does. All three engines in the 2015 Ford Edge require only regular gasoline. By the way, the 2.0L 4-cyl and the 2.7L V6 are "Ecoboost" type engines. The 3.5L V6 is not. The 2.0L gets 23 MPG combined (according to EPA, if you believe their figures), the 2.7L and 3.5L both get 20 MPG combined -- but the 2.7L has considerably more HP and torque. The problem is, the 2.7L V6 Ecoboost is only available in the "Sport" trim, which is only rated to tow 2000 lbs -- not sure why. Besides, I don't like the "Sport" appearance. I wish the Edge came with Ford's 2.3L 4-cyl Ecoboost motor, that would probably hit the sweet spot for me. That engine will be available in the 2016 Explorer, but the Explorer gets generally low reviews in the press.
