In fact a 13.5 is probably way more than is needed. With the size, and insulation values youi are contemplating, one of the cabover camper ACs in the 7-9K range would be a nice match. The advantage is that a small generator will be able to reliably run them. A 15K run by a Honda EU2000 has been done, by a select few under ideal conditions... A 15K AC is useless if the generator can't run it.
:E I do agree that the 15k is probably overkill. (I just remember being in CA during the 112 temps and wishing I had 3 more air conditioners in my last travel trailer) I'm going to drop my specs down on the a/c and find a portable generator that is light enough to haul around to power it like the Honda.
