Also, so very sorry you're having to go through this. We, too, had a break-in many years ago and actually arrived home when the crooks were still in the house. Thank goodness 8 and 3 year olds make a racket because by coming in the back door, we would have pinned them in the house....they got out the front door just before we got inside. I'm of the thought that if you can get this worked through insurance, just try to forget this experience, get that new TT and look forward to next season. I honestly don't think you'll ever be comfortable with the recovered TT. I have to feel badly for the child in this situation....what sort of life is this?? Wonder what the story is behind it all. The good news is that you have the special things that mean a lot to you and a good cleaning will take care of that. You can still pass that seat down to a grandchild. Please keep us up to date on how things are working out. BTW, love that TT you've had your eye on. Very nice way to start a new batch of memories.
