I don't know if this will be of use, but I'll throw it out there as I don't know how you did your modification. This is how I rewired our trailer. My understanding is that by adding the small jumper in one of the last diagrams, you will have satellite in both locations (just as you did with cable as the signal goes around the amplifier). You will have to watch the same thing on both tvs though. Hope this might be of help.

That is the wiring diagram that we followed. Essentially then the family room will be good to go. Thanks.
Landerd: Afraid of bears posted a link to a document and the link is also earlier in this thread. We followed those instructions so that our satellite will work. If the modifications are not done in the "brain center" then the "brain center" blocks the satellite from working via the coax cable in the camper. We have satellite at our house. We bring the receiver from our patio and a spare dish. Setting up that is the easy stuff.
