Did you actually get a super hitch? The tow bar weight is all the super hitch is being used for when flat towing. Now if you tow a boat or trailer then good for you for getting a super hitch.

It's not just the weight of the tow bar, though. You've got the side loading from the Jeep when going around corners, and a sloppy generic hitch extension would make for a rough ride.
I flat tow with 3.5 ft of extension. I and many others just use chains to stabilize the side loading.
I see no reason what so ever for a $500 super truss for flat towing.

No offense, but some of us get pleasure from doing it right. You can't beat a Torklift Super Hitch and Super Truss.
