As power goes up so does the size and strength of the chassis, tranny and overall drive line components, which adds weight. At some point these no longer fit the class 3 configuration.
I agree, start working on mileage and you will out sell the other two. Chris - fly-boyExplorerMy experience with the Duramax- 2002, 2008, 2012, 2016, is that as they have gotten more powerful the fuel economy has remained about the same or improved. My 2008 was by far the worst but the 2011 was very close to the 2002 and the 2016 is outstanding.
If fuel economy becomes an issue I can always buy a grocery getter or control the MPG with my right foot. I want all the power and torque I can get!!!
