Well, Before kids, my wife and I enjoyed tent camping,, then I bought a camper shell from a buddy,That was nicer because you were up off the ground and protected a bit from the weather.
We traveled a bit sleeping the back of the truck and enjoyed it!
Then,,,,,,kids,, after a few years we wanted them to experience camping, so back to tents,Not just a simple tent,, a Three room tent with an entry room to store shoes and stuff, We had fun! Then a few years later we bought a pop up, Really nice, heater, refrigerator, tv/dvd player, nice big beds and I did plenty of mods to it, battery gauge,two GC batteries, led lights, etc. Had that for five years. then as the kids got bigger they wanted to hang out with there friends more,, so the wife and I bought a TT, LOVE IT!! Pop up took about 20 to 30 minutes to get set up, almost an hour to be fully set with portable toilet tent and generator. Now,, we back into a site and with the cordless drill jacks down, truck un hooked,sandwiches made,drink poured, we are relaxing in major comfort in fifteen minutes tops!! Also, you can access almost anything you need while traveling,,including the rest room,sink and fridge in the TT, Pop Up you couldn't until you got to the camp site!
