I've used it 2 or 3 times as a motorcycle hauler and realized all the extra space is really nice to have for those trips.
Up until last year, a 6x12 was my main motorcycle and camp gear hauler.
I've only hauled the Jeep in it once, and decided NEVER AGAIN. That was on my trip to OX12. It was somewhat of a white knuckle experience due to the weight of the camper, the trailer and Jeep. I've since sold the Jeep.
The longest distance trip I took was to OX12, being close to 3000 miles round trip. It was about a 2.5 week trip.
Later that summer I went on a nearly 3 week trip camping and motorcycling with friends in addition to the NW Overland Rally.
For camping, I've only used it on a few long weekends since then.
