use of interior portable heater during storage

Anyone with experience using a portable electric heater during storage to prevent water line/tanks from freezing? Coastal Oregon If it would prevent freezing would be much simpler than winterizing...

I would have no problem using them. Just set it on a real low stat setting and call it good. I use light bulbs and heat tape to prevent my stick and brick from freezing so I see no problem with a modern heater.
