The snags don't look like a big deal.
When negotiating, you have to be willing to walk away if it is more than you're willing to pay. How badly you want it comes into play, as well as how badly they want to sell it. If you offer a thousand below their price and see what they say, you may end up saving $400-$500.
Their cost in the trailer (what they gave for trade-in) is likely to be $2000-$3000 below the asking price, I'd guess. There should be some wiggle room for you to dicker.
