Shouldn't there be a lot of newer used rigs for sale in western Canada with the oil patch so slow now? I've been looking but don't see a lot and what's out there is still comparable in USD even with the exchange.
What's the big websites for private party sales? Craigslist in the Alberta cities doesn't have squat and kiiji seems like mostly dealer, not a lot of private party.
Try Texas trucks for just the 2010-2015 used trucks for sale in the area around San Antonio, Texas, the nearest big city to the Easterwood Shale oil/gas boom/bust. There are 1700 pickups from just those 6 years for sale on that website and 440 of them are diesel. Then search for trucks in Houston to find even more of those used oilfield pickups. They are out there but you have to go to Texas and Oklahoma to find them because that's where the exploration and production companies are based.
Here's an example of what is available in Texas and is very likely an oilfield truck because a manual transmission and 4WD is an almost sure sign of a fleet truck in Texas (not to mention that 90% of the oilfield trucks are white!):
