Greetings!I have purchased a cover to protect the MH for the winter. I'm looking for advice on what to do for the roof vents, A/C unit and TV antenna so that they don't damage the cover. The roof is fiberglass. Should I build some sort of framework to make it a more even level up there, or are the covers ok as is? (I purchased it from Camping World and it is Tyvek where it covers the roof.)Thanks in advance.

There's no need to do much of anything before installing the cover other than padding any sharp corners that could tear the cover. I use foam pipe wrap over the spout extensions and wrap any sharp body corners & the ends of the awning with pieces of Reflectix, securing each piece in place with clear Duct tape which removes easily in the spring. The radio antenna I simply fold down out of the way, my Winegard TV antenna I don't bother with but if you're concerned just cover it as well with padding. I've been doing this for 10 years now with 3 different trailers, no issues at all. :B

Don't worry about roof vents, but cover any sharp points. I use foam pipe insulation, others ode pool noodles. Don't forget about sharp points on the sides as well. When you put the cover on, make it snug enough to prevent it from flapping around, but not too tight. My cover is several years old and is showing no signs of wear.

While I'm on the subject of winterizing...

What will keep the bad stuff from growing in the fresh water tank, some clorox, some antifreeze? I know I couldn't get all the water out because of where the tank outlets are.

The knee pads have worked; the biggest challenge is wrapping the velcro straps so they stay in place.

I have a couple of sets of kneepads I bought from Harbor Freight. I use them for the TV and radio antennas, and I put them on the tops of the awning arms too. Basically any sharp edges or corners that could be wear points.

Nice to hear the ADCO sent you repair material at nc. I will look at the lower edges as well. There is more to it than I thought.

I picked up the pipe insulators from HD for the ladder, so I'm good there.

If you look around you can get the noodles for about one buck each (Dollar Store, Big Lots, etc). Useful for several things.

Yes-- Would definitely advise to cover your TV antenna!.. I didn't do that last year with my new TT and travel cover. Padded all the corners where the downspouts are and don't forget the lower edges by your fenders... very sharp! BUT I forgot the antenna and it wore a hole right through it that I didn't notice until spring.. Just called Adco and they sent me big pieces of self stick repair material at no cost.
