using ipad for navigation
purchased a ipad 2 wi fi only to use navigation apps on the road. it is useless because if doesn't have a gps. Live and learn

you need one with a 3G connection... or you need you use your smart phone as a hot spot.... I bought a second Ipad just for the 3g....
Mike C. But they do make GPS Doggles for the wifi only models... I think Bad Elf is one company... my buddy used it in his airplane....
