Not such a silly idea and worth an experiment. Purchase a couple of battery powered CO detectors. Place one under the floor of the trailer. Place the other within the trailer. Run a test for several hours and see if any of the CO detectors (onboard, under, or within) goes off. I suspect that none will go off. A properly functioning blue flame heater will not produce any CO.
