Using Truck Alternator to Charge House Batteries

I tried charging my previous TT battery plugged into the rear socket. Guess if you run it all day it would charge. I just turned my truck around and used jumper cables. Worked for me. Never a problem. Never effected the computer on my 2008 pu. Now the question. Why do I need an electric coffee pot? Just because I ain't tent camping any more. I sleep in RV beds, 70 degrees, and I use an electric coffee pot. :Bi
