This type of fan seems to work well for this application, because even on a hot day, the fan will cycle on and off. Mine is mounted up high in the enclosure, right about even with "the bottom edge of the top vent".
Fridge always stays cool, no matter the outside temp or the altitude.
There's no question that helping to remove some of the heat above the cooling fins helps fridges cool better. Thanks for your comments.
