Point: Research and know the model/brand the way it was built and how to spot issues if the one you are looking at has them. Initial price is only a starting point. Most of us only buy an RV to have enjoyment out of it. If you have your heart set on one specific floor plan, then get it. Price is only a relative thing you deal with on day 1. Day 2 and into the future is were the good times come from.
Had some time today, so I typed trying to help the cause. Good luck in your search and happy camping.

Thanks for all the great info.... I think I've moved off the one in question for now. They actually made the model I'm looking for until 2014 so there are newer ones available. Of course, they are just all 1000 miles away :) I haven't had a good road trip in a while so who knows.... I may be heading out.
Thanks again.... Merry Christmas.
Before you head out on that road trip.... think pictures!!! If you find one and the dealer/person selling it wants to move it, they will take extra pictures and email them. I did this with my current camper before I headed out. I grilled and drilled the dealer pretty good but he knew I had to travel a long ways to get to him so he cooperated. And he wanted to move the camper. A big camper from a brand no longer in business can create a selling situation pending who the buyer is. In my case I wanted that brand and floor plan. You can spot quite a bit from pictures. It still does not for go a good inspection on site, but it helps give you time to think and research before you go.
In this case, let pics do the driving before you head out....
Good luck on your search.

PS, I see you are from Oregon, have you looked for used Arctic Fox or Nash? They are built well from the start.
