A lot depends on how driven you are to get the best deal ever. Some people obsess over it, others are satisfied with a fair deal.
The DW and I found the TT we wanted in a 3 year old Dutchmen, it was priced at the NADA used TT average and looked mint. The dealer through in the proper WD hitch and by the time we finished a very thorough walk through and paper work. It was ready to add supplies and cloth and head for Florida.
That was two years and 15,000 miles ago. There are only four things I know for sure,
+ We got the floor plan we wanted within our budget.
+ The dealer made money or he would not have sold it to me.
+ Somewhere someone got a better deal than me.
+ Somewhere someone got a worse deal than me.
In the end the DW is happy, the dog is happy and I am happy with the TT. Cost is a far distant concern.
