I tow a 2017 KZ Sportsmen Classic 180bh with a 2006 Kia Sedona EX. I had a 6 cubic ft. refrigerator and the roof mounted ac unit as upgrades. The weight of the travel trailer at delivery was 2700 lbs. I highly recommend that you do what I did before I decided to buy my travel trailer. By the way, my minivan pulls the travel trailer with no trouble. First, get a hitch installed on your minivan before you do anything else. Then, find a dealer or an individual that will allow you to do a test tow. Don't just drive it around the block. Get it out on the highway and up and down hills. Also, test tow a travel trailer that is at least 500 lbs. over the weight of the one you plan on purchasing. This will account for your loaded weight when you are ready to go on a trip. If your minivan pulls the travel trailer OK, then you should get the largest external transmission cooler that will fit installed. I also had an additive added to my transmission fluid to help it stay cool. Then, I had Timbren suspension lifts added to the rear tires as well as an adjustable brake controller. I use an E2 weight distribution hitch with built in sway control. Be sure and purchase a hitch that allows you to back up without having to make any adjustments. Check out the KZ line of travel trailers. They are the lightest that I found and the quality is great. One more thing, I also installed the Tire Minder pressure monitoring system on my travel trailer tires. I average 18 mpg while towing. Without the travel trailer, I get 21 mpg. I would not recommend towing with any vehicle that did not have all the modifications I added installed on it.
