We were at L/F for a few days this past week. The property is practically an island, although granted only about half have a view of the ocean. It was 75% occupied which says something considering it was mid week and had been raining for three days. Nice place and nice staff. It's mostly full service sites but not all. Google it for the map etc if you're interested. My wife says it gets very good reviews. We stumbled upon it. We'd planned to go further north but the weather forecast placed that campground at the epicenter of the rainfall warning.
Another one near Weir's is Pedder Bay RV Resort and Marina. On the west side of Sooke is French Beach provincial campground - about 45-60 minute drive from Victoria. They are open all year with a gorgeous west coast beach and minimal services (pit toilets all year). Camping is $11until mid March then $26. I think its extra to use the one dump station. We stayed a few nights there last week. It was a mix of tenters and trailerers. It was very quiet except for that 10 minutes that the parks guy was using his leaf blower. Not really sure what that was about. Its a forest. How would you know when you're done.
If you prefer more of a wilderness drive, continue northwest to Port Renfrew which was mentioned earlier. There are some private campgrounds there. From there drive to Cowichan Lake. More camping there but I have no personal experience. You're not far from Living Forest there though.
