GM did post the new towing numbers but the 1500 trucks tow rating changed little if any. Biggest looser was the 2500 trucks which were up to 17k. The new J numbers dropped them to approx 14k
The SAE J2807 standards don't change a trucks GVWR or GAWR or payload numbers. Just the tow ratings.
