Second Chance, when I registered my 2012 2500 in SC last fall I was asked for the gross weight of the truck (9500#). The person doing the paper work said it had to be either 9000# or 10,000#. I told her it was 9000#. I was not asked for combined trailer & truck weight. Do you think your truck may be registered as a much heavier truck than it is? Out of the $1371 I spent for registration, the truck was about $550.
