I have the Maxair II on my new TT and the hinge comes in handy when cleaning the roof. Just remove two pins and you can get all the junk that collects under there. You would be surprised how much gets trapped under the cover. I am also looking into slide awnings but havent decided on which ones or whether to install myself or have the dealer do it. I guess it will depend on what the charge will be.
