On my current, and previous, TT I have never had this happen. Nearly every one of our camping trips involves a dirt road and we always leave both roof vents open. We do have covers on both vents, so that may help.
The last trip we went on was 48 miles of dirt one way, and the way out was VERY VERY dusty. Even at speeds up to 45mph the dust doesn't come in the vents at all. It was dusty enough on that trip that some dust did make it thru the slide seals down by the floor thou.
