Ok, I'm done misinforming. Fact is in modern times there has been and always will be vehicle recalls by the gubbiment, manufacturers will continue to not get it right from time to time; a shame but it happens. I owned two Pintos, neither exploded, but the first one was totaled in a rollover accident that did compromise the fuel tank and it didn't burn. I was wearing a seatbelt and walked away without a scratch. My sister wasn't and was ejected through the rear hatchback window.Her only injury was a deep elbow laceration. More like the grace of God than Ford engineering looking out for us.
