Very pleased with my Chevy PU.

I purchased it when it was 2 years old and had 20,000 miles on it.

I had a hard time finding a regular cab for some reason. ;)

I've done all the regular maintenance, oil changes, fluids, filters, belts etc. Lots of tires and oil changes.

Total repairs to date,
5 headlight bulbs.
1 license plate light bulb.
Fuel pump at 180,000 miles.
Lower shift cable last week.

This has been the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned.

Still running the factory brakes. Doesn't use a drop of oil between oil changes ever 5000 miles.

  • Yep 216,000 original brakes, one fuel pump, one water pump, and lots of tires and oil. Oils & filters are a lot cheaper than new vehicles. Wife's ride.

That’s what I hear from a lot of GM 6.0 owners, and I echo the same. The GM 6.0 is one of the best engines that I have ever owned. Simply easy to work on, crazy reliable, and with the 6 speed tranny, it’s icing on the cake. I got my 09 and so far I have only 98k on it..... my 02 6.0 I had over 200k. No repairs just basic stuff.

The entire truck has been impressive. Its a WT so there's not a lot of options or other things to go wrong with it. It even has manual windows. LOL

A friend of mine is an electrical contractor and they have 4 of thee trucks all with over 300,000 miles on them.
  • When I was doing landscaping I had a 2005 regular cab 2500HD 2WD. I had a dump insert installed and Timbrens on the rear. I regularly hauled loads that would make the weight police wring their hands and cry (almost 2 pallets of wet sod for example). It never lacked for power, even with the bed piled with green fir firewood and towing a tandem axle flatbed loaded with the same. Great truck.
