first off. thank you for the replies... being it is my first RV purchase i didn't think of checking every single thing... also being that i worked with the guy in the Air Force for 4 years i really thought i could trust someone on a deal since i could trust his with my life deployed... my mistake.. the awning bracket wasn't loose until i opened the awning... my mistake for not checking it before i bought it..
as of right now i already have the fiberglass repaired with resin and 4 layers of glass fabric, framed up the delaminated area with pressure treated 2x4's and I've also clamped everything down with adhesive boding the skin to the new structure.... i have less than $300 repairing everything so its just a hassle, especially knowing we had a loan for up to $25k .... should have bought a new rig but live and learn.....
its unfortunate that even a fellow Air force member that i worked with up until 7 months ago would be dishonest if thats the case... he won't talk to me or return calls so he is either embarrassed or knows he got caught... either way, I'm fixing it and it will probably be stronger than the factory built it when I'm done..lol
i asked about legal issues on both ends... with the seller and with the finance company... from what i have seen with others water damage, mine seems very minor, just a big deal to me since its my first RV purchase..
