I would not be so quick to throw the seller to the wolves. Water damage was disclosed. I am not sure why it is assumed the extent of the damaged was known by the seller. The pictures clearly show damage that was hidden. Just because a seller does not want to undo an as-is sale does not equal scam. We have all made mistakes making purchases either by lack of research or letting our emotions get the best of us. I do not consider myself a victim when I make these mistakes.
That is tough. Especially if he said he rebuilt that wall. Technically if the seller made a specific claim that you relied on and was false that may in fact be actionable. But as you have learned it is sometimes better to let it go and move on. I hope your enjoyment surpasses the******you went through to get there.
