Was this link not working?
I'm told it wasn't working so I fixed it.
The link is working now!

VIDEO: Port Angeles Crab and Seafood Festival + Elwha River
10/7-9/2016
We went to the
Port Angeles
Crab and Seafood Festival
As always the food was good
The beer cold
The apple pie hot

Our group stayed at the
Elwha Dam R.V. Park
Convenient to many
Peninsula destinations
Saturday night we went to
The Dam Bar for a beer
And to watch the
Husky's Duck's Football Game
Poor Kelli didn't Quack once
The rest of the trip after watching
Her beloved Duck's lose to
The Husky's after a 13 year
winning streak by a record
Scoring 70-21 ending score
We'll gitt-um next year
We explored a little along
The Elwha River
The fall colors were beautiful
The ferry rides across
Puget Sound are always a treat
And sadly we come home
returning to the daily grind

We did a Olympic Peninsula camping trip last year and used Elwha Dam R.V. Park as base camp. Nice place, full hookups. We unloaded the camper as most of focus was not on spending time in the campground.

  • OMG.... If I had known that was going on I'd a met ya up there! If you think about going next year, post a reminder.
  • Yah, Crowds....

    Still Summer, even now..
I tried Yosemite, CA (Last Week) and it was a mess, jammed, all four campgrounds full... ended up staying at Camp COSTCO after trying 2 Walmarts in Fresno...

Salt Creek point is the best if you can get in there... Used to do Dive Campouts and then just Camping... one of my Favs...
Stormy Weather is the best.. heheh... for the reasons you mentioned.
    Fun...
    See ya on the trails...

Normally We'd stay at Salt Creek out on the point too. RV area has awesome viewing of the Straight but gets too crowded. See my profile picture.
This trip was a fall colors group for the first time on the west side of the state so accommodations were for full hookups and proximity to town. An informal gathering this year but fun to see familiar faces around the campfire. Festival was a lot of fun this year. Always best in the rain as it keeps the crowds down. Take care,,,
