Video: Sea Lions of Astoria Oregon.
It was fun to watch the Sea Lions doing their thing on the docks.

Canadian Goose flyover at 4:00.
We had been camped at the Port of Siuslaw River in Florence Oregon.
We headed home north on 101 thinking we would camp at one or more of the state parks on the way. No such deal as all the campgrounds were full and reserved months in advance. No matter as events would be happening that would change our needs. As we were driving into Tillamook O, my truck blew out one of the spark plugs. A known issue with early Ford 5.4 liter and V-10 engines. We spent that night at a hotel RV parking spot across the highway from the cheese factory just north of Fred Meyer for 22 bucks. Cheaper than the campgrounds were and we probably could have stayed free at the Freddies. So in the morning I went to NAPA and bought two of their spark plug seat fix it kits. I still have the kits in the truck in case but what happened is, I found and regapped the plug then reinstalled it torquing it to 15 inch pounds. The plug tightened in and has been fine ever since. We were off again and stopped in at the Blue Heron Cheese Factory, had lunch and bought a few cheese items, very tasty I might add. Heading north, the plan was to stay another night at a state park heading north but everything was full along the way. Finally, we pulled into the Safeway in Astoria and spent the night for free there. We bought a bunch of stuff for dinner and breakfast. The next morning after listening to them all night, we hiked over to the pier where all the commotion was. There were about a hundred sea lions going about their business on a dock in the marina. They were quite fun to watch. At 4:00 into the video there is about 15-20 seconds video of Canadian Geese flying over us. We continued home making a stop to look at Rainbow Falls state park and thought that it make a nice to go. Not much in the flow of water but earlier in the season I bet it would be a nice river to watch and relax at. After that we made it home after 6 days in Florence and being on the road.
Enjoy!
