VIDEO: Two TC Cabover Marker Lights Were Never Screwed On

I was washing the TC and noticed I knocked a marker Light lose. I got the truck backed up to the TC cabover and with a stepper, climbed up and found that two of the 5 top markers were never fastened down. I cleaned them and the area and light bases then found some screws then set the base into DICOR, cleaned up, done. Just before we had some rain. Got to keep up on maintenance or those little things, they'll get you.

J&K
  • Hole at bottom of the lens will suck water pushed by air flow when in motion.
I think it was Bumpy who had his camper rebuild with those lights just glued and only wire hole.
  • Clearance lights also let water weep past the lens and go through the hole for the wires and into the wall. I've drilled a very small hole in the bottom of the lens and silicone the lens at the top and sides to the base. They will sometimes have a witness mark where the water has sat in them at about the level of the wire hole.
