We have done a lot of towing with small cars. But always try to keep it in the 1500 to 1800 lb. range. That kept us in Popups for years. We found the older Colman were the lightest and then had to be sure not to over stock or fill water tanks until we were near where we wanted to go. We did manage to wear out 2 and have the last near worn out when we sold it. The 2nd one we wore out while we had our Airstream. We could take it places we could not get the Airstream.
