With amount of torque you have in that engine stay with something bellow 1500 lbs. The frames and brakes in the older mini trucks were not that strong and I would hate to see you tweak the frame due to the load of a trailer even with upgraded brakes.
Now if you had one of B2200 Perkins diesels, I can tell you it will tow 3500 lbs through the mountains...
